About Melissa Mangan:

Melissa Mangan is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in Nursing from Concordia University of Wisconsin. Over half of her career as an APRN has been spent in an integrative & functional medicine setting. Prior to completing her graduate studies, Melissa worked with pediatrics as a nurse.

Through her own experience in feeling unheard and dismissed by her medical providers, Melissa became passionate about getting to the root cause of her symptoms. She attended a conference during her graduate program where she was first introduced to the applications of functional medicine and knew it aligned with the way she desired to practice medicine.

Melissa’s curiosity is contagious, she continues to find herself asking ‘why’ when digging in deeper with her patients. She’s mastered the art of blending conventional modalities like advanced diagnostic testing and interpretation with functional medicine principles such as herbal supplements and diet & lifestyle modifications.

Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors in Minnesota all year round with her husband and their child.

Melissa’s Specialties:

Melissa loves biochemistry and enjoys working to discover underlying issues with her patients to address their symptoms at the root of the problem. She’s able to use her conventional training as a complement to her innate understanding of how the body works best using herbal supplements, diet & lifestyle modifications, and prescriptions when needed. Here is a glimpse into the kinds of patients that would be a great fit with Melissa!
