What’s included in the Functional Physical?
We’re getting a deep dive into your health! With the Functional you’ll receive:
- A 45 minute introduction intake + physical exam
- All lab testing included in the level of physical you choose. (no additional fees for testing)
- A pre-recorded video of your lab interpretation
- A 90 minute lab review & plan summary appointment. (if supplements or other modalities are recommended, those are not included in cost of the physical)
We offer a Comprehensive and Limited physical depending on your budget & needs. Limited physicals start at $5,500
*Actual tests ordered depends on the level of physical chosen
How do I go about getting these test completed?
Our team is well versed in how to complete these tests. We offer in-house blood draws which comprise the majority of testing however some tests will need to be completed at home.
We’ll coordinate with you on how to perform the samples, when it’s best to do the at-home kit, and how to ship them off. All tests come with a pre-paid return label for you to just drop off.
While it may seem daunting to complete the testing, we’re confident that by staying organized and following our instructions you’ll be rewarded with a wealth of information at the other end.
Can I get ongoing prescription management from my functional physical?
The intention of the Functional Physical is to give you a one-time deep dive into your health. If you require ongoing medical care, prescriptions or testing we’ll ask that you continue to follow up with our providers either through our membership model or a la carte.
Will you give me specific recommendations on how to correct any imbalances that come up?
Absoultely! Your Functional Physical comes with a detailed lab interpretation as well as a customized plan on how to correct the imbalances. These recommendations may include prescriptions, peptide therapies, supplements, diet recommendations, infusion therapies and/or foundational medicine recommendations (sleep, stress, water, detoxification, etc).
Note, that if we find something that requires ongoing follow up care we’ll suggest a lab follow up timeline to make sure our plan is working the way it should. You’re welcome to take us up on it or not. Any additional testing or appointments will be billed at our a la carte rate (or membership if you choose to join!)
Can I use my insurance?
No, we do not bill insurance for any visits or labs. The cost of the Functional Physical is a one-time fee, upfront.
I'm a business owner, can my business pay for this?
We’re not lawyers or CPAs, however we’ve consulted some really good ones to help develop this program. Please always check with yours to confirm before purchasing the Functional Physical (as there is no refunds).
Yes, if you’re:
- One of the 5 highest-paid officers (Officers are people that hold key roles in a business)
- An owner that owns 10% or more of the business
- Someone whose compensation lands in the top 25% of all the employee,
- Your business may be able to offer you the Functional Physical as a medical benefit.
Can I do my Functional Physical virtually?
If you’d like, yes!
If you do not wish to join the intial 45 minute visit in-person, you will forfeit the in-person physical exam. We can collaborate with draw stations near you to collect samples we need for lab testing & do our lab review visit either in-person to virutally.
Currently we can see patients who live in MN, WI & NC.
Will you also interpret the tests you order?
Yes! While we know there are direct-to-consumer lab testing companies out that you may be able to purchase some of these test from but unless you’re a qualified health professional, the numbers probably mean absolutely nothing.
We created our Functional Physical to not only get the key metrics you need to optimize your health but also give you context around their meaning, provide insights about how it is affecting your health (today and in the future), and use the data to create a customized plan.
What is your policy on confidentiality?
While we are a HIPAA covered entity and take our responsbility to your health data seriously, as a cash pay clinic we go above and beyond HIPAA requirements. Unless specifically requested by you or if legally required to, we do not share your health data with any third party, insurers, or regulatory agency.
